Badger Lodge Playcentres
Our Badger Lodge playhouse is a classic in it’s own right. But when it becomes the central element in a playcentre it takes on an even more impressive dimension. You’ll see from the picture below that there are all sorts of ways this can be configured, and elements such as spiral tube slides, nest swings and different types of bridge can all be incorporated. One of these designs even incorporated stabling for unicorns, can you see which one?
About our children’s cottages
Our children’s cottages and playhouses are stunning. We line them internally, and then paint them inside and out (unless you ask us not to, the natural look looks fantastic as well. We use cedar shingles for the roofs, not only for the way they look, but also because they are a proper roofing material. All our cottages are tall enough inside for an adult to stand up in.
Our playhouses and playcentres are made to order, there are a number of choices to be made in the design which we will talk you through.
The largest classic playhouse that we make, Harvestwood House is a classic double fronted house, with a door in the middle and then windows on both sides. The lower windows at the front open. Inside the playhouse is spacious and airey. One half is full height standing, the other features a mezzanine floor with a flat tread sloping ladder for access. This playhouse has also been the central feature of a number of large playcentres that we have built over the many years.
It is 2.4m wide by 2.4m deep. The height at the ridge is 2.80m.
We can provide window boxes. The roof is cedar shingle, and the inside is ply lined and then painted inside and out in colours of your choice.

In many cases a visit to site can be useful. We’ll bring a tape measure, some blank paper, and plenty of photographic examples of our work for you to look at. We don’t charge for making site visits. Usually at the end of a visit it is possible to give you a price. Sometimes it may be necessary to go away and work up a design and a quotation.
Once you are happy with the design and proposal we will raise our Sales Order. We ask for a deposit of 40% of the value of the order. This can be paid online direct to our bank account, or we can take card payments over the phone, and as long as our bank still takes cash we’re happy to accept that too!
